Wisdom for the Road - The Biker Code
Code for the Road
We all got a thousand miles
of yesterdays.
through the hairdos and tattoos,
there’s always a good story told.
We feel the motion the rhythm of the ride.
Take a moment to reflect on life.
We dream it, we love it,
we ride with the rule of gold.
Chorus:
There’s a code for the road,
it’s a personal thing.
Somewhere between the brain
and the heart.
Like a lighthouse that guides us
through every ride,
keeping danger and adventure apart.
Give us the right sign every time.
It’s an unwritten rule called the code.
So never, never, never, ever take
your eyes off the road.
The good we do nobody seems
to remember.
But the bad that we are nobody ever
tries to forget.
We trust ourselves,
there ain’t nobody better.
With a little bit of faith and
a whole lot of leather.
We’re American symbols living life
without any regret.
Chorus
Expect the unexpected.
Those cages are more protected.
So never, never, never, ever take
your eyes off the road.
